Team Lowroad was setup by a group of friends to record our training for the Maratona dles Dolomites.
The team consists of six members with varying level of cycling ability and experience. The members are;
Alan Gordon - novice cyclist last serious riding 20 years ago, is undergoing pyschological analysis after deciding that the Maratona would make an interesting cycling comeback.
Steve Jefferies - keen cyclist and Cat 3 road racer.
Nick Rawlinson - keen cyclist, wearer of white shoes, source of awesome power and the height of modesty. Will be known as 'Fab' due to some disturbing similarities to former World TT Champion Fabian Cancellara.
Simon Dane - novice cyclist, but has been training for six months. Can be found in the english dictionary under 'competitve'.
Mark Stansfield - keen cyclist, but, been off the bike for a little while. Resident fashion expert based on previous experience of being covered in glue and chucked through the window of an Oxfam shop.
Gavin Oag - keen cyclist, has been off the bike for a little while but still has the memory of how quick he was which has resulted in some specatular 'bonking incidents' (in the cycling sense).
Chris Rawlinson - Nick's brother and a chip off the old block.
Manuel Buck - our latest recruit with his magic pipe cleaners.
